Bridge Reinforcement With CFRP Fabric and Laminates

Carbon Fiber materials are ideal and best used materials for structural reinforcement and retrofitting. Its strong and light weight features make the material widely used one in modern construction.

The most regular Products are used for such Structural Strengthening:

Carbon Wrap Series: 200-600 gsm oneway carbon fiber fabric/ sheet.

Tensile Strength: 4900Mpa,

Elastic Modulus: 230 Gpa

Elongation: 1.7%

Carbon Laminates Series: 1.2 mm & 1.4 mm thick, 5cm-10 cm wide.

Laminates Tensile Strength: 3000 Mpa

Elastic Modulus: 230 Gpa

Elongation: 1.7%

Why These materials are widely used:

The fabric wrap are more flexible and strong enough to reinforce the strucutures like beam, column and slabs. Also the same materials are used for wooden, metal or ceramic structures to reinforce. The fabric wrap are used along with designated resin system that make the fabric most strongly bond with those structures.

The laminate is a strong kind of plate which is used for strengthening and help to increase the load bearning capacity of the various  structures. For any structural defacts/ fault / design changes / strucutral stability / additional load bearing capacity etc. carbon laminates work best for the same.

Here are some of the strucutral reinforcement projects referene photos:
